Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I own a '92 RS that is medium quasar blue metallic. I believe that is a 1992 color only as it doen't appear in my other brochures. I am trying to figure out how many were produced that year. Thank you for any help with this.
Well to my knowledge that was a 1992 Firebird only color because it was one of 4 colors used to commeorate the Firebird's 25th aniversary. I bet your Camaro is just a color that looks like it or it has been repainted. What is the RPO for the color of your car on your SPID label???? The RPO code for Medium Quasar Blue is 80U.

Thank you very much for the information. I've owned the car since '94 and have only seen two other RS and one Z28 that were that color so I began to think was rather low-production. The quasar blue used in 4th gens was different.
It sure is great to have the internet with access to all this knowlege and help. Until today, I never knew that Purple Haze metallic and Polo Green II met. were offered as anniversary options with stripes as mid-year packages.
I don't suppose there is a way to find out how many of those 5,191 were Rally Sports with V-8s is there?
from what im seeing its a lt1 camaro color so 93-96
The '93-96 was called Quasar Blue Metallic and was darker in color. My friend bought one new back in '95 and we took pictures of them together.
Medium Quasar Blue Metallic was a 25th anniversary color for Camaro and also available on 1992 Firebirds. It is a fairly uncommon color
Anyone have pics of this color 92? Id like to see it.

Here's my '92 w/ MQB plus some silver stripes for the anniversaries sake. This color was also available on the '92 'vettes and is rarer still for those.

Haha! Thats alright, I would have said the same only about Camaros. I've never seen a MQB bird in person. Its certainly one of the better color mixes GM created but I don't know why blue is such an unpopular color. For example, the new Camaro Aqua Blue which looks good has been discontinued (only 5% sales) and replaced with a LE green.
