Re: covan classic dash panel

well got another one from summit today, was the same did not fit at all called summit they gave me the covans number called them. all i can say is they are complete Aholes. he told me he installed hundreds of them (bullshit). there must be something different with the 82 dash. he basically told me you bought it from summit so f==k off . and offered no help as to what could be the problem ,DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this piece of sh-t plastic make your own as i did.

Re: covan classic dash panel

sorry to hear the bad luck. i know the 82-83 dashes have some subtle differences from the 84-90 (or was it 89?), maybe the gauge cluster is one of them. Never had that early of a 3rd gen myself, so haven't been able to compare side by side

Wow that bl*ws. You go do something that makes your car look a little different and you wind up getting hosed. I was looking at these replacement cluster panels and after pricing them out with some decent Auto Meter gauges the cost was over 9 hundred $$$. Way too much bread for me. So I just replaced all the bulbs with super brights, cleaned up the panel and spray painted the metal frame bright silver so the gauges pop. Looks better than new now.
