1st in the country???? (56k beware... LS1 swap pics)
Centerforce dual friction
Hurst Billet Plus with the old school chrome stick/white ball.
All hooked together, ready to go in! (I've waited forever for this!)
'Nuff said.... got them this morning. I think I'm the 1st in the country so far!
Nice, aren't they? The qualilty of these is absolutely amazing! VERY nice!!
Pretty cool little emblem on them too... I can't thank Bruce Hawkins enough.... especially at the rough time they're having right now dealing with a loss to their "family"
Ready to go!
Just a close up.
True long tubes... I can't wait to get my electric cutouts rigged up on the end of these!!
*Well guys, it's been a long road but I'm finally getting there. All I need is my wiring now and I'm about ready to fire it up. Due to Neil's death at Hawk's 3rd gens, I'll be doing the wiring myself or possible having Speartech do it now. I spoke with Bruce for a long time the other day at work and he is such a class act... I don't know what else to say. I'm finishing my project in honor of Neil now... he was such a great help over the phone....
That's all for now, hope to have it in the car by tonight!

i got my headers friday, installed them today, they fit great. Just had to dimple one of the tubes to clear the stearing shaft becuase it was rubbing but i had to do the same on my slp shortys i had on my 305. Going to try to get the y-pipe in there tomorrow, and finish up with the misc. stuff i have to do, so i can get this beast started.

Looks right at home
I'm going to have to re-route the brake lines behind the steering shaft or bend them some more for clearance.
Clean??
This is my custom 4" cold air kit I'm working on. These were two 90* 4" pieces off a semi where I used to work... where my dad works now. I kept them to fab up my own 4" catback but its gonna work just right for my CAI. I'll have to cut it where that black mark is, weld on a piece straight over to the MAF, then a 90* into the TB. This pipe will also go through the area where the charcoal canister used to be... placing huge K&N cone filter under the car. Plenty of cold air and free flowing as hell!
Overhead shot... I like the little bird plate I had made.

Custom dual exhaust T56 x-member from "Drew" on TG.O... this will work out nicely!
Another shot of it.
Better side view.
And another...
Good shot showing it off.
*All I have for now... just tell me when you guys want me to quit posting pics. Whatcha guys think? Its still a long way off from running... but its getting there. I can't wait... getting kinda nervous though.

Tranny mount- Energy Suspension Poly mount (modified by me to fit in this crossmember
Tranny Crossmember (dual hump dual exhaust)- From "Drew" on here... PM him for one, very nice! Helps with ground clearance alot.
Motor mounts- engine side, stock LS1's. K-member side, fbody motorsports or Hawk's 3rd gens.
*Hope this helps, later!

[Re: LS1 tranny cross member and motor mounts
Not me, tell whoever refered you to me to stop giving out my name in reference to aftermarket crossmembers. If you do a search the guy is easy to find and I'm not him. I'm really getting tired of replying to these messages, so tell anyone who says I'm making these damn things to get their information correct.

i couldnt bare spending the money on those headers. bought a set of manifolds for 70 bucks, and im really happy with them.
looks like a great setup. lets see some #'s from it when you get her going.

in this case, 2.5" is used only because of ground clearance issues.

Yeah, I'm still tempted to have these cutoff at the exhaust shop and have some 3" ones welded on. I really don't want any big restrictions in my exhaust. 3" collectors wouldn't have hurt our ground clearance that much with these SW LT's IMHO. Oh well, they're still very nice!

camshaft and cylinder heads would play a big part on what makes power where.

Well, I believe that the 4th gen MAC mid length headers are only 2.5" collectors and cars run in the 10's with those. 2.5" collectors can't be hurting it too much... I'm sure 3" would help a little though, how much I don't know.
