different LS oil pans
HI again, i have a question. please dont bash me but i have completed my swap and my car is on awesome mode. for the swap i used a LQ4 block with aluminum heads, 4L60E from a 2005 GTO and for the oil pan i got duked. i bought it on Ebay and when i searched for a pan it came up. its a low profile oil pan not sure which vehicle it came from but its between the truck oil pan and the FBODY oil pan..( if that makes sense). it was new with the windage tray and pickup tube. it fits and works in the vehicle no problem, but it hangs lower than the K-member about a inch and a half (yikes). with my 22 inch wheels (yikes) it wasnt a problem but now i am lowering the car and stepping down to 20's and i need to fix that before i ruin my ****.
question: will the LS4 tranverse 5.3 Liter oil pan work in the FBODY?
i only ask because i have a 2007 impala ss with the LS4 and i was doing an oil change under it lying flat on a creeper ( so comfortable under cars on a creeper...i fell asleep once) and i noticed how low and deep it was, hell it takes 6 quarts of oil...and it should bolt up to the block.
they are much cheaper than those over priced swap ones. not a cheap guy just tired of getting riped off.
thanks for any input.

All you need to know about dimensions of ls oil pans.
However, your best bet would probably be an oil pan from a 98-02 fbody. From what I've seen it sits about even with the k member. Notching of the k member may be required for added space, but that would be based on your own personal preference.
Here's an affordable option for an fbody oil pan found by a member on here (bluezee28)

You'd also need to buy the fbody pickup tube and windage tray
