Rebuild Thread
So this will be the rebuild thread of my 86 camaro. I bought it ten years ago when a girl came through the drive thru at Wendy's and it broke down. I helped her push the car out of the way and asked her if she wanted to sell it. She said "yeah if you want this piece of junk! all it does is break down." So I purchased it a week later for $1500 dollars. Her dad told me all the problems she had encountered. An alternator, the right size tire on all four wheels and a foglight switch later all problems were solved. the car started its life as a carbureted 305 with an auto. it has a 2.73 gear. I drove the car like that for 3 years. then the 305 finally let go. well not really. the water pump started leaking and that gave me an excuse to drop in a 350. I pulled it out of a 72 caprice. installed my original intake and bought a non cc Rochester. drove it like that for a year until I decided it needed more power. I installed a comp cams 268 extreme energy cam, vortec heads, weiand intake and edelbrock carb. car ran great til the auto gave out. so me and my grandpa did a t5 swap into the car. the car is setup how I would like it to be. this build thread will be just of me cleaning the car up and making it look better. paint maybe. mostly cleanup of the underhood where I left all the leftover wiring. I will post pics as I go. hopefully I will have the car done in about 3 months. hope I get some support from you guys.

Don't look so bad!
I see vise grips but no duct tape or zip ties. Its ok, you can add those later on.
Are your brakes a little stiff? Booster doesn't seem to be hooked up. or is that an old picture?
Great deal on the car! Keep us posted.

Re: Rebuild Thread
Did a little body work to the fender and quarter. not perfect but the rust that was on them was driving me crazy. had to kill it. yeah I did overspray but it is all going to get sanded soon. just wanted to get going on it. waiting on my garage to pull the motor and trans and really get started. haven't really done any body work before. I think it came out ok. any criticisms and suggestions are appreciated and listened to. you guys know more than I do lol. and yes I will be painting the car back to its original color of yellow. I couldn't see the car any other color.
