My 1984 Trans Am
I have had this car since I was a junior in high school, I purchased it in the summer of 04. It's an original 305 H.O. 5 speed.
Over the winter I went through the entire car. I do have some pictures of the process, but not as many as I wish I would have taken.
Engine:
- .040 over 327
- powerhouse aluminum heads.
- edelbrock performer rpm air gap intake
- Holley 670 Street avenger carb
- msd digital 6 ignition box
- Lunati voodoo cam Advertised Duration 266/276, Lift .505/.520
Suspension:
- vogtland lowering springs
- umi adjustable lca
- umi adjustable panhard bar
- umi fully adjustable torque arm
- umi lca relocation brackets
- factory front control arms, new bushings
- kyb shocks and struts
Drivetrain:
- LT1 T56
- pro 5.0 shifter
- fidanza aluminum flywheel for 2pc main and T56
- Competition stage 2.5+ clutch
- GM 10 bolt, auburn posi, Richmond 4.56 gears, Moser axles
- aluminum driveshaft
Brakes:
- front C5 corvette brakes from big brake upgrades
- rear 1le brakes
Wheels/tires:
- 17" Year One snowflake reproduction
- Front NITTO NT05 275/40R17
- Rear NITTO NT05R 275/40R17
Interior:
- 4th gen Camaro front and rear seats
- OER replacement carpet
- All panels dyed from tan to grey
- Factory 84 console with 6 speed shift inlay, and radio delete plate
- new plastic covered headliners
- sail panels recovered with left over headliner material
- Stewart Warner 5" tach and speedo in factory cluster, the rest of the cluster works like factory
- Sparco Monza suede steering wheel
I'm happy to finally have it done and running for the most part, I'm taking it in for an alignment this weekend. Dyno tune to come shortly.
All work was done by me, and friends when they were available. My dad was a large help as well.

Re: My 1984 Trans Am
We'll see hopefully soon. I'm shooting for 330 whp.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, it was a lot of work for sure!
Thanks! I like them a lot. I was a little worried with how they'd look on the 3rd gen. But I really like how it came out.
