teh list keeps growing gang. the only problem is there seems to be a lower and lower percentage of f-bodies in the group. word of mouth is spreading it to all challengers and we are gonna need more birds and maros to raise the flag. so far it is an all domestic affair, but a local group of vw guys are grumbling about challenging everyone.
lets here it gang. who else is in!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Is Atco open for time trials all year? The reason i ask is b/c once Englishtown closes in Nov. my car will most likely be broken in, i doubt i will make any passes over at Englishtown! If Atco is open till the new year i'll head over there for a few trials! I just don't want to go into an event without even seeing how the car does on a track. I kinda want to get used to it. If anything i'll just watch! later-Bryan

Atco is crazy, true Rednecks, they don't close till it snows...then once it melts i think they open it back up, hell they even torch the burnout box when its cold to melt the ice if the box freezed up :sillylol:

I might be up for that

My local track (New England Dragway) closes at the end of October and I'm not sure if my Z will be ready by then and I know I won't have my rollcage installed by then so even if I do make it it won't be for long

Can you post the link for the track website so I can figure out how long it will take me to get there?

I live in the Seacoast of NH.

Thanks,
Marc

Hey guys I'll try to make it. I would love nothing more than to spank some imports with pure American Muscle! I just hope it isn't real cold. I live 10 mins from Atco, and it has been getting cold here. It's only October and it feels like January!

I was at Atco tuesday night, it was FREEZING!!, so be prepared guys!! Tim, there's a diner/resturaunt down the road on Rt. 73 called victory lane, it's a pretty cool joint, racing theme, good food, etc.. Right now, it looks like the coupe won't be ready, but I'll be there in the 'vert. See ya then!!

Too bad you guys are doing this the week after a group of us close out our season by going down to Atco on the 30th. Our group will have at least 3 3rd gen's; myself, my buddy with his many time national record holding I-J/SA Camaro and a mutual friend with his 3rd gen bracket Camaro. We will be trying out a few things before pulling them apart for annual frehening/upgrades.
Maybe we'll catch a few of there, if so just look for a group with Mass tags and that'll be us.

saturday is scratched and sunday ain't lookin to good right now. the problem for those of you who have never been to atco is that th track sits abotu 5 ft below the surrounding bleachers. this means that they can clear the track, but then as snow in the pit areas and on teh bleachers melts all teh water runs downhill onto the track surface. i am sure they will give a good effort to get it all taken care of, but that is a lotta space to try to clean up to get things ready.
the hot line said they will have a decision about sunday at 3pm saturday.

later
