Im from Paradise, CA. Its about 3-4 hours from Santa Cruz. Its a small town just north of Sac. There is pretty much nothing exctiting for at least 2 hours drive. Infact the closest drag strip is in Sac and Redding both 2 hours drive away

Yup you're in no mans land...haha. we got a member who came from Yreka last year for the cruise. Pretty much you're not sitting in the seat of your car for much more than an hour at any point of the cruise so it isn't so bad

Re: Clubs and Shows
Nitro here, I'm headed off tomorrow/Friday afternoon to a special 'invite only' Volkswagon show over in the Bay Area.
It's done by a gentleman who has a large personal VW collection and spends the big bucks on them. The guy invented the television 'picture in picture' for your TV remote. An excellent friend of mine had restored 8 vw's for this colection, with at least 5 of them turning into front page VW collector magazine shots! He's good (yes, as I shake my head with wonderment!)
One more vehicle I wouldn't mind adding somday would be a VW model 'T' roadster. That would be fun! I'm sure there's a theme, but havn't found out what it is yet; just glad to score up the private invite!!!! Nitro-Nicky

Re: Clubs and Shows
Not exactly 3rd gen, but I find sometimes if I go to a totally unrelated car show now and then, I sometimes get some off the wall detailing ideas that I can pass over to my Camaro. The last thing I want is a generic 3rd gen; so I'm always hunting up modifications that wern't factory.
