Oh yeah, LT1 baby!

Gotta have the aluminum heads. No use otherwise. I could have done the same thing with aluminum SBC heads and a HSR. But I didn't feel like rebuilding that. Besides, I think I can make the install look cleaner with an LT1 under the hood since there isn't a dizzy in back and this thing has NO emissions anywhere. I'll throw a 2-way cat on there for emissions and to quiet it down.
But people are going 12's with hot-cam and headers. If can run low 13's I'll be happy for now.
I'd really like to concentrate on the apperance, cornering, and ride quality for now though. Eliminate all of the rattles and annoying this that plague most thirdgens.
I have SFC's, LCA's, Panhard bar, and a front end rebuild on the way.

Planned list of mods......
Cam is as of yet undecided. But I already have a LT4 Hot-cam, but I am looking at the XE 224/230 cam on a 114LSA also.
Minor port work on the heads if I get around to it.
Hooker 2055 headers and Y-pipe,hi-flow cat, SLP 2otL exhaust.
Eventually T56, but for now 4L60E will work just fine, and easier since my car already auto.
Complete emissions delete, you should see how few wires this harness has. If it had any less you might say I had a "wireless" setup.

What paint? That white stuff is just an illusion.
And the paint is already shot completely. The car needs body work on both sides thanks to my sister, and the one side of the 1/4 needs some serious work as she put a divot right into the bend where the 1/4 meets the tail lights.
Believe me, I'm very close to stripping everything I want off the car and looking for a new rust free shell. Even though mine is rust free.

cool score man! i scored a complete wrecked 94 9C1 Caprice with the LT1/4L60E in it. was going to scab the motor and trans out of it, and run the body in a demolition derby with a 305 in it. found out the frame was bent, so i packed the car full of junk i had laying around the shop. got $125 out of the car at the scrap yard, so i've got a $75 LT1/4L60E and a 9C1 only disc braked 8.5" rear end sitting in my garage. looking into buying a 86-92 Camaro after i get some of my projects other cleared out. make sure to post progress on the swap, i'd like to see how it goes.

Sweet deal.
Would love to score a complete Lt1 or LS1 equipped vehicle.
Might take a litte longer to do to install it factory style, but cant beat the price if u use all the original stuff

The kitchen is a GREAT place for the spare tire!!!!
And what a great spare tire it makes.
I'm back!
The engine looks good, and the harness scared me a little at first, but all of the wires are labeled so it should probably fire-up right away. Jeremy is already talking about back dating it and doing all sorts of other **** to it..
You'd swear, he's more excited about getting his hands into it, than I am about the whole project.
When it warms up I'll start taking care of it again. I didn't get to do much else besides clean everything up and make a list of sensors that I want to replace since it sat for so long.

I'm glad the engine is good so far, but that makes me wonder about the reason for the reversal on paypal...
