New best time on nitrous

Month ago the car only managed to do 15's at best due to probably a simple case of fouled plugs, ooops. All was well tonight with a back to back runs of 11.94 and 11.95 motor passes. Put the bottle in the car and had the 210 shot setup, made a pass, 10.67 @ 125 mph 1.54 60' I screwed up too, was so nervous soon as I hit the button, I pushed forward on the shifter into 2nd Next pass I remembered to keep it in 1st, haven't checked the video yet but might have had the front come up and the car shot to the right towards the guardrail. It was all over the place out of the groove so backed out of it. 3rd nitrous pass was good and straight, but only a 10.80 at 123 mph. Bottle pressure was below 900 psi on that one so I've got to invest in a bottle heater. All in all a very fun night with nothing breaking. The person doing the videoing didn't get the quick pass but got the other two so might post those up later.

Edit: Videos came out very blury Had manual focus on but it wasn't set to infinity so anything further than about 20 feet is a blur.

Re: New best time on nitrous

Nah I go to Redding most of the time, bit more laid back, get more runs in and it's 15-20 bucks on street nights. The new track surface seems to be working, the 10.80 pass had a 60' of 1.46 but then things slowed down by the 1/8 mile.

Here's the 10.67 slip

Good runs a bottle heater will help but three passes off the bottle its time to refill it.Good Luck sounds like it is running great.

I like all the timeslip info. That's some timer system they got. Your ET was 10.67734. Even the reaction time goes 5 decimal places.

Re: New best time on nitrous

Does that mean to get your "perfect" reaction you have to go 4 decimal places instead of just 3? haha. I really hope my car can get down the track like that by the end of the year, but i have to get rear quarters on it first.

Re: New best time on nitrous

They must have changed their timing system recently because for the past couple years it was pretty basic info, not even 1/8th mile timing. As for the perfect light so far I've gotten one of those, might not be getting another anytime soon haha.

Re: New best time on nitrous

Nothin like one that's finally working better lol. Last year I tried out the 250 shot a handfull of times, never got it to work right. Backed it down to this 210 shot and it's working pretty good.
