Very nice Louis, even before your engine swap. I've always liked your setup and super clean too!
My only concern are your air filters. Are you using stock replacement K&N's? Even with K&N's, they would be your bottleneck. They flow only 263 cfm's each!!

263 each! wow. that is only 526 cfm. there are some pretty fast normally asperated (11's) cars running those. wouldnt that be numerically impossible? I figured that would make you run slower with them in but I have seen tons of people take out the paper ones and not go even a hundreth faster. look at this one wont he have some trouble? looks like less surface area than the two TPI filters put together.

Yep. I got this spec directly from K&N, so I know it's correct.
I once made the mistake of using a K&N that flowed about 320 cfm. It was a small conical shaped filter and I used it because of space limitations. This turned out to be a big mistake. I discovered my mistake after my car started running funny after about six months of usage. What was happening was the oil used on the filter was literally being sucked into the intake and it gummed up my MAF!!! It was impossible to clean the hot wire, so I had to replace it. It was a costly mistake. I wonder if the new cool blue filters flow any more???
Louis, do you still have that frontal shot of your engine bay with your hood lights turned on? That was one of my favorites.

Willie,
I find that interesting about the Filters.
I may have to do a couple of checks at the strip with a big cone filter on my current setup.
I did find on my old setup that I made more power with the Paxton setup on the Dyno (Large filter in fender well),
But at the track the 6in Ram air ducts gave me 1 psi more boost at the end of the 1/4 mile and .2 tenths better in the 1/4 mile.
I'll let you know my findings.

how does the numerical impossibility of guys running two K&N's and running in the 11's work out then? and why dont people go faster by removing them. Im not doubting you I am just curious about the info they gave you. how come it doesnt slow down cars I guess is what Im asking.
I don't know. Why not call K&N and ask them. Anyone who manufacturers air filters should know... (I would assume). And while you're at it, ask about the cfm rating of the TPI filters as confirmation of the information I received a couple of years ago.

Nice car. Got any more pics?
Also, what make of strut brace do you have fitted there and did you polish the runners yourself?
Thanks
Robert

RMK,
The STB is a Jamex brace.
The runners are Large Tube Runner from Arizona Speed & marine,
The come polished as an option.
I think the Mods section of my web site has that info on it.
