look at this twin turbo set up!

Well... it all started a week ago. I came up to my college(Clemson University)for summer school to take a biology course.. so our class of 10 people met the other night for a study session for a big test we had.. and i looked over at the guy beside me, and noticed he had an Eaton Supercharging shirt on. I asked him how he got it, and he said that he works at a local plant, which is owned by Eaton, but strictly produces manley valves. So we started talking, and he began telling me about his twin turbo 460 ford fairmount.. for a while, i believed him, till he told me about a blown VW beetle(the old body style.. a '57 model!) that ran 10's, and he knew the owner.. So anyways, i mentioned that i was thinking about getting into supercharging with an ATI SCer in the next few months.. well he told me that a friend of his in michigan just got his licence to sell ATI products, and could probably get me a really good deal on a kit.(so while he's telling me this im just about to jump out of my skin, but dont know if i should believe him or not). Being the skeptic that i am, i check out the website that he told me was owned by his friend.. and dizam! here is his ugly a$$ fairmount, but geez, under the hood, its complete with one coil on each cylinder, AND the two turbo's. he says he's running about 13lbs of boost, with a 9:1 static compression. pump gas too, boys. anyhow, i just posted this for 1) to show a really nice blown sleeper and 2)because im about to go nuts thinking of the killer deal i could get on the SCing kit.. btw, before i would order one, i am definately going to check with ATI and make sure everything is legit..(like the site really is a retailer) I guess it is possible for him to have fabricated all this, but very unlikely. anyways, hope you all enjoy as much as i. http://www.boosttechmotorsports.com/...t/fairmont.htm

I've seen that car elsewhere on the net... they show pictures of the project going together. I dont think there is a hood made that will fit on that thing.

Edit: Here it is

That carreminds me of this localguys twinturbo buick regal. Not a V6 turbo this is a twinturbo 400 in a gramma looking white regal that youcan barely hear at idle but runs like a beast. He won the fastest street car event here in British Columbia. I'mnot sure of allthe rules since it was in Mission (Vancouver) and I live up here in Dawson Creek. But from what I can gather it had to be insured, lights, blah, blah, and run on 10.5inch DOT tire. He ran an 8.92 at 150 something. It's is the ultimate sleeper short of the cage.
My friend that works with him says he's done a lot of work to it this year, bigger turbos, new sheet metal TPI style intake, and some other stuff, but it sounds pretty cool. If he runs it soon at the local drags I'll try to get a video of it and post it.

I love turbo's.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Eric and I an Trever's friend in Michigan. Trever is from MI and is on a short term assignment with his company in SC. Enough of that. Trever is telling the truth about all the cars. Let there be no doubt, he built the Fairmont. I helped tune the car and drove it. When the boost gauge reads three pounds, the car starts rockin' Opening it right up leads to tremendous wheel spin. If you lean into it slowly, the car is so fast, you run out of road in a hurry. There is some tuning that needs to be finished. We are creating timing and fuel maps from baseline tables and we make small adjustments until the wideband O2 sensor says we have a safe air/fuel ratio. We are an authorized ATI Procharger dealer and you are welcome to call them to verify that. Look for an updated look to the website in the coming weeks. I have been in the VW bug also. It has run 10.81 and pulls the front tires off the ground on the street; it's a wild ride. Let us know if we can help with ATI Procharger products. E

Hey mtx28, I go to Clemson too. What year are you? I'll be a sophomore next semester. I'm not sure if I've ever seen your car on campus. Have you seen mine? It's the black '91 Z28. I was usually parked around Johnstone.
