Great job on the exhaust fab... that looks great...
A couple suggestions from working with the pipes on the cold side....
You can cut the radiator support and lower it down 2-3" to give you room to put the
main cold pipe right into the actual upper core support. It would hide it and you could color match as well. (See pic of my old setup)
Then where you have the air cleaners... Take some pipe and put both of the air filters down under the body where the stock battery would be (On both sides) That way your pulling cold air not 200Deg engine heat. It will make your intercooler work much better!
You have great fab skills for sure!

Looks really good. Did you fab everything yourself? I'm looking at doing a single maybe twin here in the near future. And info on where you bought supplies or parts would be great.
Thanks.

i have used this box a couple of times and if you have a carb it is the only way to go. least expensive way to get good spool and driveability as well as power

How has this project been? Been a while since anyone posted about it, I'm about to do a twin turbo project on my formula, but will be a little different. Looks very nice

Re: pics of a turbo project
I'm almost going to buy that twin kit on ebay with the same headers as the stock ones you have, I'm just concerned that it won't clear the factory belt setup and the driver side turbo will be offly close to the radiator hose, but my radiator fits under a stock style hold down. SO IDK, then my p/s hoses will be offly close to the turbo too on driver side, did you have issues with that?

Re: pics of a turbo project
i would not buy these headers again , i would not use them if they paid me.
no way will they work as delivered with TPI serpentine brackets and a decent exhaust system. I cut the collectors on both just repositioning the drivers side, i cut off the passenger side collector completely off /cut the primary tubes/rewelded the collector back on/added tubing to the collector to clear the A/C then welded the flange back on. then i cut the number 7 cylinder primary tube and moved it to clear the steering shaft. what i ended up with is a good looking set of headers that i can change plugs on six cylinders from underneath with minimal effort using my lift and two cylinders that cause me to utter bad words. there is no way i would even attempt to try and pull a plug at the track.
now if the downpipes just dumped down that would allow better plug access but the headers would still require mods to work with the factory TPI brackets and clearance of the steering shaft are still would need to be done.

update time :
Well I was disapointed in the performance of the engine so I put some 062 vortec heads on it , an air gap intake and a 10 year old cam I had done for some small twin turbos.
Now it runs like it should . I was initially lean under boost so I made some major changes to the carb, smaller HSAB's , opened up the PVRC's some more and upped the jetting.WOT A/F is now at 11:3 so I am in the ballpark there, it is a little rich under cruise at mid 13:1 but my part throttle acceleration is pig rich in the 10:1 range. So I will go to a later opening power valve and probably down a little in jetting.
It is fun just putting it in second gear and mashing the throttle and when the turbos start making boost the tach swings to 6000 rpm and tire are up in smoke

Re: pics of a turbo project
I am going to start my project probably next week, I gotta figure out how to put pics up on here, I have all the parts for it, I just have to start setting it up, weld downpipes, hook up oil lines, then turbo lines, should be fun!

I know you haven't posted on this in a while, but how did it run with the old TBI heads vs the Vortecs? Did you make it to the track? And how much boost are you running? Your work looks great.
