not the 1st but not the last 305 hp adding
Hello i have 305 tpi and im looking to get her up and going. i want to get 200+ hp in that little block. So what do i put in it? I have a 150 NOS half kit and plan on putting it on a NOS a Ntimidator to almost finish it.
And from there i don't know what to do. The can has a stock exhaust should i start there? Also putting a 350 turbo trans in it, is that going to help any?
Any suggtions or comments are always helpful and appreciated

Exhaust would be my first step with a nitrous setup. 1.75 headers and a 3" single or dual 2.5s would be my first choice with 150 of spray. For the buck it would definitely give you the most value especially when you have the jug turned on.

I don't even know where to start..
Why are you putting in a th350? What is wrong with your current (I'm guessing) 700r4? I have a TH400 in my car but that is because I got tired of burning up 700's and I got a great deal on this 400 however I had to sacrifice overdrive. I do not daily drive this either.
For more power get a good full exhaust including headers. I found headers made a huge improvement for my vehicle when I was first starting to mod. I would not worry about a cam until you open up that intake whether you stay TPI or not.

I'm keeping it TPI 305. By open up do you mean port? I'm really looking for a trans that will up hp, but idk what to put in.

Transmission's really arent the best way to free up horsepower. Worry about engine performance then look into building a transmission when the power of the engine requires it.

Maybe I misread, but you are going to put a 150 shot NOS setup on a stock 305? That is just asking for a disaster, at least from what I've read. I generally try to steer clear of nitrous though so maybe someone else can enlighten all of us.

Yeah I'm going to build up to it. For what I understand 100 is ok on stock, but the 305 is a not easy to get a lot of hp and be street legal.

This is just an opinion but...
I wouldn't worry about changing your intake if your gonna force cold Nitrous Oxide through it anyway... Besides intake aren't cheap.
Get a good Catback system
http://www.summitracing.com/search/D...?Ns=Rank%7cAsc
and Headers... (The Hooker 2055 come with a Y-Pipe)
http://www.summitracing.com/search/D...?Ns=Rank%7cAsc
Freshen up your ignition stuff
Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (More fuel at WOT)
Then go Have fun!!!!

Re: not the 1st but not the last 305 hp adding
Never enough I'm afraid...
330 RWHP and 349 ft/lbs on a Mustang dyno...
It was the only pass I had on the dyno cause my air fuel ratio was too lean...
Since then I got bigger injectors and some prom tuning equipment.
I have a YouTube vid out there somewhere @ the drags strip... Ran slow... Overcompensated with fuel and was too rich
Back to the drawing board ...
Search
Test N' Tune GTA
On second thought... Just make sure that your ignition stuff is up to the task and forget the exhaust stuff for now... Of course it'll be more efficient with a better exhaust but it's not necessary...
