Iroc build

Going to try and start a build thread. I will try and keep updated. Back story, car was had a 406 Tpi, t56, 150 shot, and a 10 bolt. Tore it apart about five years ago unhappy with the combo. Car got back burnered while I was building my shop. Took some steps this summer to finish it. Setup will be following
-5.3 ls with ls6 heads, katec ls6 torque cam, arp hardware
-4l80 built with rossler trans brake and custom ati converter
-VS racing billet 80mm turbo, eBay air to water, chiseled water tank
-Quick performance 9 inch with a spool and 3.55 gear.

I am running an aei motor plate and mid plate if any one is curious on the brand. Would highly recommend if going this direction.

Motor is a 5.3 with ls6 heads and cam. This is what will be motivating it.

Re: Iroc build

Last ones of me picking it up to bring home. Have more fab work to do before I blow it apart to paint and reassemble.

Re: Iroc build

Very nicely done sir. Especially like the exhaust. I am thinking of mergine my 2 turbos into a 4" all the way back. But uncertain at the moment.

I wanted full exhaust and just couldn’t settle on fender dump. For my set up the 4 inch was difficult. Tony the person fabricating it said dual 3 might have been easier. All in all I am happy how it turned out.

Re: Iroc build

When I was running a single 76mm turbo I had a 3 inch pipe that came out and down under the car where the converter should have been. I put together a 4 " setup from there and it wasn't that bad to do. Wich I kept that setup too haha
