No im not sure if its the original gas tank. Out of all of the third gens I have owned I have never had one that had a one piece gas tank.

okay i will also do that on monday and after i did everything to it today i drove it and when i pushed the gas to the floor it would rev up to 3000 rpm's but still didnt wnt to move but anything i do...

Changed the spark plugs and wires, checked the grounds on the back of the motor and they were fine, i also noticed the starter wires were loose so i tighted the nut. i am still having the same...

once the car is warmed up after driving it for about 20 to 30 mins it is slow to accelerate when i get the rpms above 1500 it spits and kinda hesitates almost and sometimes even backfires on me

its in front ot the axle on the drivers side so if you have some ramps back it up on them to get to it and you will need 2 wrenches to do it but i dont remember what size they are
