bad acceleration and bouncy tach

ok blocked off the canister purge hose and no check engine codes so far and have dwell readings within range. So I guess I need to look for a new filter for that canister.

Vacuum gauge reads 20 at Idle.
#1 Spark plug seemed normal/doesn't smell like gas.
choke opening just fine.
TPS at .48v
evap canister hose from gas tank is not dripping fuel into canister.

cmon lets not get rude. you were right. Since I've never worked on this before, I was a little confused about what you were talking about since the yoke is untweaked and the differential is open...

I can turn it no problem, but 1/2 way around I can hear a scraping noise with some resistance turning the yoke. I guess that's the bearings needing replacement.

hmm I started to remove the carrier today. I got the two caps off, the pin is out and the axles are slid out. I can't get the carrier to budge though. I was at it with a sledge hammer and a prybar...

Ok found out that my TV cable slipped off of the hook in the transmission. It got driven around the block a couple of times. Can't wait to see what happens. :)

Cable was aftermarket brand. Ordered...
