Oh hey - yeah, all good again.
Replaced the heater control valve and she's back to normal now.
Also just sorted the oil pressure switch and had the rear diff fluid changed.
Still got a niggling...

Cool, thanks for that, I'll order a replacement, I guess the hose should be easy enough to come by.

I think it's broken

Pulled in to the garage after driving home. Clouds of steam from under the hood.
Thinking it was a hose or the rad, popped the hood and was greeted with this:

Tensioner pulley

I've just swapped out the tensioner pulley for a new ACDelco item (part number 38006).
The old pulley has a lips on each side - the new one doesn't, and the belt's sitting quite near one edge.
I'm...

Re: So you guys want a bolt in all aluminum 3 core radiator?

Quick update on my American Eagle CC951 version -
It's now leaking from 4 places, and I'm having to keep topping her up with water, until I can afford to replace it later this month.
Don't know if...

Cheers! That's a huge help for the valve - the plumbing I'm after isn't on the manifold side, it's the rest that runs off back to the EGR on the engine block.

SES light and a phantom code 12

Hey all

My SES light has been coming on a lot lately, but whenever I check it with my code reader, it's reporting a code 12 - which I'm told is pretty much 'situation normal'.

Any ideas why the...

Re: Which Cat

It's a bit of both to be honest - if the cat's not present it's a fail, but they do use a probe in the exhaust to check the emissions too.
