Your check engine light is most likely from the fact that your new distributor isnt set up like the old one, therefore the computer thinks something is wrong seeing as you dont have the wires hooked...

thanks for the input guys, i got the engine and tranny out seperatly and it was super easy. Dropped the tranny and then pulled the engine out the top.

what did when I was 16 was just cut it off before the muffler hahaha. Cheapest way to get loud :P
