does the car have EGR valve? maybe the rubber material is torn and your friend have a major vacuum leak, plus exhaust smell you described?

You might have a vacuum leak since the motor was out recently, double check your connections, check vacuum line connection under the throttle body.

I have brand new converter on the vehicle, new plugs, wires, o2 sensor etc. It will pass cleaner than any stupid prius. Will take the test again and will post results, but I bet I will get another...

If your fuel pressure drops right after you turn off your truck that means you got a leak in the fuel line, you should not have no sudden pressure drops at all. My gta would maintain same pressure...

So I end up replacing ICM since I had one laying around. I went for a drive, same conditions, hot day, loads of traffic. Issue seems to be resolved, but since its intermittent I'm not 100% convinced....

Check your spark plug wires at night, make sure they not sparking, since the engine was replaced, I bet they didn't route the spark plug wires properly and they got burned. Check for vacuum leaks,...

As far as I can remember, to get to the EGR valve u do need to remove air intake, to replace vacuum line that runs to the EGR valve you do not need to remove anything, just unplug old plastic line...

I think you new injectors are not properly seated in the fuel rails and leaking. Probably damaged o rings during install ( I did that before)

it can be your distributor, oil sending unit at the back, rear main seal etc, oil gets on a torque converter (assume u got auto trans) and gets everywhere, plus while driving oil gets moved around by...

I dont think its possible, unless you got some holes in your injectors, I think what is actually happens is that you have a leak at the top and the fuel runs down into and fills up the connector port.
