My Vats was not reading any key period, and I could start it just fine, just died in ~5 seconds. any starter Int. relay can be bypassed relatively easy.

Naw, what happens is the VATS module checks for resistance in the key, and sends that info to the ECM. Without the ECM the VATS just checks resistance in the key, it may be a good idea to unplug it,...

As for the turn signals, there is a good chance that your flasher is dead. Ik on my 90 Jeep XJ I had my turn signals would just stay on. its like a 5-15$ part and its really easy to install..

naw that is a legitimate question,
- first I would unhook the battery (to be safe),
-next take off your radio bezel faceplate,
-next find where the wires are probably spliced into the radio...

Judging by the poor wiring and where it is located, it is most likely an amplifier wire, I would remove it asap, also the speaker wiring is connected so I guess they got that part right?

Basically the fluid looks fresh It doesn't smell burnt and is pretty clear of any debris or dirt. I believe its the 700r4 1989 Firebird form with 305 tbi.

No lights come on. and by brake I mean the car lurches to a stop like the rear end locks up no brakes are applied it just the axle pops locks and drops it to 0. car remains running.

yeah of all materials to use...i was a little confused why they used Rubber...but looking back, alot of parts used on thirdgens were questionable...infact all of the 80s were questionable.....LOL
