It is a 1988 305 TPI and 700r4, going into a 89 305 TBI

Ok, so my car seems to be having problems with the tach. according to the gauge, it idle's at ~1100 rpm. I know it's not that low from sound, and also know that it's reading high throughout the rpm...

i would only run full synthetic on a new engine, especially if you run it hard. synthetic is good, but its too expensive to start it on an engine past 100,000 miles. I'd say a good synthetic blend....
