From what I remember the PCM regulates the 4th gen fuel pressure via the fuel pump. My setup uses a corvette fuel pressure regulator and the stock TPI return lines.

If I am not mistaken there is a rack and pinion kit that works in conjuction with the stock k-member. Make sure you check you driveline angles once you get the steering situation resolved.
