-when i bought the car the limited slip worked great! if anything it would chirp the tires slightly around slow...

It would certainly slow the prosses, but eventually the bearing would "press off", a ford 9" isent a "full floating axle".

you found the reson why the fuse is blowing, now you must find out why the insulation melted off. poss. chafing led to short witch melted insulation off, in the breif time before it blew the fuse....
