Right. Otherwise you will have to wire up a switch directly to the plug on the trans.

If you're running a carb you'll need to get a vacuum switch as well, unless you wanna flip the switch...

There are several lightly modded guys over on corral knockin down mid-low 14s in the 96-98 stick cars. Lightly modded as in radials, shifter, gears, exhaust, cold air type of stuff nothing major.

The car cools when you turn the heater on because the heater core is a small radiator. If you turn the defroster on it runs the a/c which forces the fan on at any temp.

Factory fan doesn't come...
