700r4 4th gear downshifts to 3rd with any throttle

Hello,

I've done several cars with the 700-r4, swapped it into custom projects, familiar with TV setup, etc etc. But other than basic stuff (replacing governor, fluid/filter change, etc) I've...

Re: (Barely) hit a deer

If they fix it, I'll keep it.

If they total it, I probably won't keep the car. I'll buy it back, yank the drive train, do my best to pop the door dents and sell it as a roller (I won't part the...

Re: (Barely) hit a deer

After looking around, I'm going to file a claim.

I read 92GTAs thread about his car getting totaled with GEICO and I think I will do OK here. Low NADA value on this is $3600 which would break me...

Re: (Barely) hit a deer

I had someone hit a classic Oldsmobile that was parked outside of my house with a rental a few years back and "total" it badly enough to render it completely inoperable. It was a 3800 lb car and...

(Barely) hit a deer

Hey guys,

Hit a deer with my 89 last night. Head of it hit the front driver's side, and then I guess it whipped around and hit the door, not sure what happened.

I have full coverage through...

Very interesting, I will try that. Thanks for the tip.

I've got a lot to learn about manual transmissions. Reverse can occasionally be interesting as well (very rarely) so I'm wondering if it...

T5 won't downshift into 3rd

It's been almost 10 years, but I'm back into the Thirdgen fold again. :) Bought a 89 IROC over the weekend, loving it.

So, anyways, one of the only quirks with this thing is it will upshift into...

Re: Summit 4011 knockoff or Holley 4150?

Ooookay. Well, I don't want to be spending $750 on the QF carb so I guess I'll plan on checking on an E85 forum about the suitability of the 4011. Thanks.

Ah. So you're saying spend more so I don't want to trade up later?

The QF 4150 E85 carb is almost $750.
