The first thing you need to do is figure out what your budget is. What you want to spend, and what you realistically can spend on materials.

Typically affordable and paint jobs do not go hand in hand. When a client comes in asking what it costs to paint a car I tell them a typical paint job is anywhere between $1,000 and $35,000.
