You could also wire up a relay coming off of the fuel pump relay. Your fans would run only with the engine running. And you could still wire up your toggle switch if you wanted to shut them off...

Instead of a DPDT switch, just wire the remote start with a SPDT relay, and the proper resistor.

This way, the VATS is still active, and you have your remote start available.
