thanks for the help guys im going to pull the pan and see what is in there. hopefully it is nothing insanely serious the trans worked perfect then just out of nowhere broke

It stumbles when you slam it from a dead stop when driving but if you ease into it for a second the slam it it will light the tires up and take off. I got the shop to set the timing back to stock...

should my carb bog down on quick throttle movements its fine if you increase the throttle normally but if you slam the throttle really fast it seems to bog here is a video to show you what i mean ...

if the car is flooding with gas then the plug will be really wet and if they are fouled out they will be covered in a thick black soot

the reason you have to keep giving it gas is because that's what the choke is supposed to do it makes it idle around 2000 rpm until the engine is warmed up enough to run normally

do you hear a clicking noise when trying to turn the car over? also have u checked all of the connections to make sure they are tight also check your battery and see if it needs to be charged

well we were fixing the quadrajet but my dad was rebuilding it and broke the plastic piece that goes over the float so he got mad and just went out and bought a brand new carb i guess i will go get a...

ok so i ditched the cc q jet and put on a Holley 600 car ran fine once i got it to idle took it for a drive and ran fine just a kind of dead spot stumble off idle on the way back home at a stop sign...

first i would get a new CD player Sony explode sucks for a cheap but good brand i would go with pioneer and when looking at speakers you want to look at the rms rating that is the recommended watts...

got it started about 5 minutes ago and it idles at about 2000 and wont drop below it what did i screw up to make it do this there are no vacuum leaks

ive almost got it done but i have a question on the gasket that goes between the main carb body and the top plate the hole for the plunger is too small for the plunger to fit through should i cut it...

is their a trick to getting the top plate of the carb off ive removed all visible screws even the two small ones under the throttle blades but it still wont pop off i got the bottom plate to come off...
