I've done this with no issues, the bowtieoverdrive kit is the best you'll find and well worth the money, the VSS is not an issue, is it a cable speedo?

I reused the stock 700 in my LS1 swapped camaro, it bolted right up, except for the middle pass. side bellhousing bolt, which you can leave out but that is also the bolt that holds the dipstick tube,...

I might be wrong but I don't think you can rotate the fuel rail on an LS1, The website for the fuel pump is www.racetronix.com.

F.S. LS1/3rd gen tank sender unit/carb'd 305

This is a 0-90ohm sending unit for the 4th gen gas tank swap in a 3rd gen in order for the gauge to read properly, some slpicing is required unless you use the Ractronix fuel pump kit-$80+shipping
