all 1984 h.o cars had a in tank electric pump. the relay is mounted right by your fan relay by the brake booster.

Well enjoy your 20 y/o car and the inherant squeeks and rattles and I will enjoy my trouble free 2 year old car. And yes I do have a warranty the car only has 26,000 miles on it.

My firebird average 18-19mpg at fill ups. The mustang seems to average about 25mpg at fill ups

if its not those two things then check grounds on back of heads if they are tight then your fuel pump is dying and causing this.

Money wise my only concern was dropping 2K into a worthless car that will never maintain its value. Why put that into the car when it's not even worth it!

White tops kinda sound like bosche 160lb per hr injectors. But they are low impedence injectors which won't work with your TPI anyways ... well, I could be wrong too!

Check your engine to body ground strap. If the 10mm bolt that secures this strap to the firewall is loose they will do this. Also make sure its tight on the back of the block.

If it was a HO it would have a knock sensor. The early LG-4 till about 86-87 didn't have one. The HO always had a higher output alternator and you can tell by the alternators belt width its a little...

Just take it to GM they reset the unlock code for 45 bucks. If there is a chance it's never had a personal code entered into it GM sets the code as 0001 when they are new. But like others have said...

How do you make it stay in place? Mine look like they were orignally rubber and overlapped the tank strap and thats what kept them in place. Right now I have no isolators at all so need to get this...

Problem there is it seems he only does plenums. I need the whole system punched out. Not worth it sending individual parts to various people rather just have one person do it. But thanks for the link.
