Re: Driver side coolant leak, near TC-flywheel area

An update for the issue:

A while ago, I had a leak from the heater core. Replaced it, then all was good for a while until the leak I mentioned in the previous post showed up. Replaced the manifold...

Re: Hi from Romania!

The aluminum support cover I got from Hawks, was around $190 including the stud upgrade. I didn't get the rebuild kit as it turned out I don't need one yet. But Summit has a complete kit from Ratech...

Re: Chassis measurement needed

I remember spohn.. I asked for a rough shipping quote for a full front set from them once, after which they became unresponsive :) Maybe I'll check them out again.

Unfortunately, the customs...

Re: Chassis measurement needed

The guys that I talked to also said I'll be fine the way it is. It is not touching the fender inner cover at any position, but visually it is disturbing. I'm planning to do much more to this car so I...

Re: Chassis measurement needed

I think I typed the wrong title for this thread. What I'm asking is actually a k-member measurement. Between the centers of rear A-arm bolt holes. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the k-members...

Chassis measurement needed

Hi everybody.

I had an accident and some repairs done afterwards. But there are still some problems. I did a few measurements.

The right front wheel is around 1.2 cm to the front than where...

Re: Odd issues with L98

That's interesting. My engine is '89 L98 350. All of my stock (I believe) injectors read 17.5-17.6 ohms. Does that mean they've been replaced before? Their flow is supposed to be 22lb/hr right?

Re: Compression ratio calculation

So is 4.1'' the factory head gasket size?

Then the volume between gasket edge and combustion chamber/cylinder bore edges makes around 0.41 cc [pi/4*(4.1^2-4^2)*0.039*2.54^3], which would make...

Compression ratio calculation

I've done my share of research and calculation. The factory stated compression ratio for 1989 TPI 350 is 9.3:1. The data I have:

Bore = 4.00''
Stroke = 3.48''
Compressed head gasket thickness =...

Re: Motor Mount Issues

Also, don't panic if the motor doesn't fall back flush with the new mounts. Even 1 mm is enough for it to remain stuck on one side, polyurethane is a pretty strong material and just the friction with...

Re: Strange coolant leak... where's it coming from?

If something leaks on the firewall around the AC blower motor area (which would probably be the heater core in and out hoses for your case) that'll probably end up under the front subframe rail...

How about valve cover clearance? Are tall covers needed for 1.6 rockers? If yes, how much taller than stock ones?

You know the spring at the bottom of the housing? Add another one there, or just use a stronger spring. That worked well for me.
