Did you have a CCC system before? If so, you can feed the 2000ppm VSS signal from the old vss buffer into the optical input of the 1227730 ECM and flip a bit in the eeprom to use that input instead...

Yeah, that is my favourite part of it. No mess of ECM guts sitting on the passenger side floor! My wife's 83 T/A has the ECM (a 727) mounted in the engine bay and having the nvram module works...

If your eprom is in your memcal, and the memcal is plugged into the nvram board (and assuming the socket on your nvram board is empty) then you have the situation where your ECM is doing nothing. ;)...
