No, i put the monte engine in the car and put the tbi from the old 305 on it. Im looking for a 350 chip so it doesn't run way too lean.

in my experience i would avoid a 90 - 92 camaro . gm used cheap chinese recycled sheatmetal. my 91 rusts and cracks much faster than any of the 80s models near me (long island) if i had known this...

ihad the exact sameproblem with my 91 rs it was the rear contol arm. im my case the bolt was loose but it may be worn out bushings as well . good luck it drove me crazy and once i had it figured out...

my guess would be the injectors, my buddys tpi engine had similar problems we replaced the injectors on it and it was like night and day. good luck

I have an early 5.7 from a ws6 trans am in my car and it has the dreaded #7 piston slap. Avoid that era of engine unless you dont mind the horrendous knocking noise untill it warms up every morning
