LOL, I used to dump about one extra gallon of fuel alcohol in the tank when I had to go pass emissions test. it worked.

Now all the stores (Home Depot, Lowes) no longer sell alcohol! Why?

Won't start at all? Even with the MAF unplugged? Unplugged it should run in open loop mode. It should start. i don't think it is the MAF.

I've been running M1 Hi Mileage 5W30 in my 88 LB9 for years. Winter and summer.

Don't use the Fram orange can of death filters. Wix makes a good filter. So does K&N.

Really?? More info please. In my 88 you can clearly hear the burnoff relay cycle after engine shutdown, if you are in a quiet area. It is always very quick, about a second or so. I've never seen...

I ran 10-40 M1 in my 170k LB9 but the oil pressure was a bit high. I don't driver her hard any more. I went back to using 5-30 M1 Hi Mileage.

Anyone know the size of the original space-saver spare that came in these cars? Mine is on a black steel wheel. Comes deflated and with a CO2 gas canister.

Actually not. I just had a sidewall blowout on my 245/50R16 and no way would the hatch close when I put it in the trunk.

Yes, I can see heat generated in the T5 conducting up the shifter shaft. But the parking brake handle, that thing is bolted to the floor by 2 bolts, so the floor plate must be getting pretty damn...

Yeah, sounds like a missing air dam. The dam is essential for cooling at highway speeds. The fans will handle the cooling when stopped or going slow.

I believe the cars with the extra relay there are TPI cars, and the extra relay is for MAF burnoff. You don't have a MAF so no need for a burnoff relay.
