its a pain, but try hooking a vac hose to the egr valve, if it runs rough or stalls, it could be something else. I see a lot of injectors get clogged, or otherwise go bad, also check for vacuum...

Things are looking more promising about showing for the gtg, I got Jen's rear rebuilt today, and am expecting the spacers for my vette wheels on Monday or Tuesday, still no promises tho.

you should only have to have a smog every 2 years, most of our cars fall into a "high polluting" catagory which means ya gotta go to a test only(in enhanced-dyno) areas.

don't forget about the oil pressure sender, it has a switch for the fuel pump in it. if you don't have a spec on the injectors, look for different, too high or too low. a trick I have had some...

:the 82 t/a and 83 Camaro are different, but the 83 camaro and 84 vette use the same ecm.
but anyway... I just found that jet proformance sells a chip that they claim will work in a 83 5-speed tbi...

as I was typing, it donned on me that the 84 vette did have a manual option, so I looked around and found that Hypertech - Power Chip
Part Number: 154371 is a California legal chip for the 84 vette...
