Have heard Lon at TDS is fabricating a lower chassis brace that will be available through the TDS site. He has told me so himself. This brace would be similiar to the KB brace but better. And obviously the customer service would be better. Also he will probably have pictures of it installed and will be able to ansewer all of our questions, ulike KB. I know everybody wants one of these braces but the KB ones are too expensive and there is not info/install pictures of them anywhere on the net. Personally that is why I am not buying the KB one. I will not fork over money for something i am unsure about. Either will anybody else it seems.

The question of this post is How many of you would purchase a lower chassis brace from TDS if it were availableand cost about the same as their wonder bar; 50 bucks? (providing there is info on installations, pictures,powdercoating, and info of the benefits of having one).

Hang on folks. I'm aware of the interest in such a brace. Heck, I want one for my cars as well. Yes it is on my "Future Products List" along with a lot of other items. However, at this point you're REALLY putting the cart before the horse. The concept of the brace exists only in my head. No CAD work has been done, nor have I taken any preliminary measurements, no prototype constructed, etc.

I don't want everyone thinking something is in the works, because it isn't. At this point I can't commit to any time-frame or pricing. There are several other "Future Products" that have further developement into them, yet they still haven't been released for one reason or another. I'll close the discussion by saying that the product does look like a good fit for TDS. Ii look forward to your partonage if the product does make it to the market place. I appreciate your kind words and support for Top-Down Solutions products.

I thought I read in another post that you were working on one and that it would be available in a while. Guess i misunderstood what you posted, or you posted inaccuate info. Either one I am sorry.

New question of this post is.........if one of our sponsers made a lower chassis brace how many people would be interested in it? Follow the guidlines that I first posted for your replys. I am again doing this to show our sponsers how much of a demand there is for these braces. If you visit this thread please post a reply. Only company that currently makes these are KB. From what i have heard also, the KB ones are a bad design........now if one of our sponsers would make one, obviously it would rule and theyd make hella $$$$ from us folks on thirdgen........right?

Steering Brace, yes. Lower chassis support, no. The whole misunderstanding goes back to the confusion over what KB's product IS. KB's vendor has it listed and described as a steering brace. I can sell you a Steering Brace today. If you want a Lower Chassis Support you'll have to wait.

already have ordered one from you should be here in a few days. Yeah KBs product causes alot of confusion. Do you know for a fact that the KB one connects the SF's together infront of the oil pan?

Really now, since when did the lower chassis become an impediment to handling? It sounds like a bandaid for an owie that isn't there!

Well, first off I have to say TDS is a SUPER company, Lon is EXCELLENT to deal with. Also Ryan at UMI. Thumbs up to both.
Second, Kenny Brown closed the doors. You can't get any more KB products unless a vender has some in stock somewhere. BUT, ANYONE who says Kenny Brown products aren't any good are just ignorant and do not know what they are talking about. Kenny Brown made A+ products. Some of the best.
I have the KB lower chassis brace. Is it a nice piece? You bet. Does it work? Who knows, it's hard to feel a difference if your not using the car to the edge on a track, but on a street like most of us. Was it overpriced? Maybe a bit, but I think alot of the stuff for these cars is overpriced really. (just look at the price of LS products VS what gain you get. = BARGAN)
It doesn't tie the subframe connectors togeather (I have Mac sfc), but it is another chassis support. One thing you can trust, Kenny Brown was a company that did it's homework, so the product no doubt does make a difference. BUT, a difference most of us won't ever feel because alot of us street drive them 99.9% of the cars life.
In closing, if Lon choses to make one, great, buy it if your in the mood. If one isn't made for awhile, don't worry too much, just buy a good set of sfc and a stb, and your doing just fine.

your wonderbar goes up front under the swaybar.

This brace would go between the engine and trans, and it would help keep the control arms more square. (almost like another transmission brace, but goes more forward, and nothing sits on it). Look at the picture, it looks quite self explanatory to me.
