most popular lowering methods?

91 camaro RS....

so, what is the most common method of lowering these things?

-- i may need to rephrase that.. i know HOW to do it, just, wondering what parts people are using, and if there is a budget method.

i know you can use drop spindles in the front, and use stock height struts, which maintains stock camber,

or you can use shorter struts, and an adjustable shock tower.

which is ideal and or cheaper?

I'm not up on all of the manufacturers and parts available for these cars yet.

as for the rear, i think the only good method is to buy shorter shocks and springs. aside from eibach, who makes them?

I'm not planning to do this immediately, just kind of curious.

1) Lowering springs (or trimming springs, but that increases spring rate)
2) Weight jacks (same geometry effects as lowering springs, but better way to adjust height and get the spring rate you want)
3) extended ball joints (0.5" and 0.75" exist for our cars, for example I got my 0.75" BJ's from HOWE Racing)

Spindles WERE an option before, but the only maker is Racecraft and they are now saying they are not intended for street or road racing because there was a spindle failure for one of TGO's members during a road racing session he did. So basically they're only good for drag.

Re: most popular lowering methods?

Check out Lowering 101 in the suspension section I just read it as I am going to do this soon also. I found some great info and it helped me decide on cutting some moog springs.
