Other then the nice puddle of coolant on my passenger side floor , sometimes when i try to start the car up it wont turn over for a bunch of tries, then all of a sudden it does. I damaged my starter wires but got them replaced by a mechanic (cuz i didnt know what the problem was) and i just wana know if thats the problem thanx

Ede said ...or starter or starter solenoid....the starter was the problem on mine...exact same symptoms.
bad connection or ground, maybe bad key cylinder, park or clutch safety switch

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Get the leak fixed.
Can you guess where the starter is???
*Ding ding ding*
That's right... under the heater core.
Antifreeze and starter solenoids don't like each other to much, and the antifreeze usually wins.

I agree. The starter is most likely the culprit. I've had this problem on my GTA, my SSEi Bonneville ($400 starter for an SSEi), and a Pontiac 6000 I had years ago. All did the same thing you described. It was even worse when the engine was hot. Matt
