Sudden misifire
This was really odd today. I was going to work, I was in the turning lane rolling up to the car infront of me when all of a sudden my engine misfired/stumbled, it has never done that before and hasn't done it again. What the hell could just cause a sudden misfire?

Could be a sticking egr or a fuel or ignition problem. Usually fuel and ignition problems occur during accel not deccel. Id start by cleaning out the egr. If that doesnt help any take a look at the ignition module.

Check your plug wires.. one might be hanging on the plug by just the boot and not actually connected. That happened to me once.

Should I ask? Have you replaced the cap, rotor and wires that we've been telling you to do for like two months now?

Re: Sudden misifire
Long time ago would be when we told you to replace them. That would be before you attacked everyone on the board.
Now then, were you low on gas? Coming to the stop quickly? Just through a puddle?
Now then, let me explain why no one is answering this particular post. Not generally, you still don't believe that you could have pissed off other members, but specifically this post is not getting answered because of this...
It's like coming on and asking 'My tire lost 2 lbs. of pressure, why?' It's too general there is nothing of substance to the problem (only once) and will be next to impossible to accuratly diagnose unless you can repeat the problem. Hence the old joke about bringing the car to a mechanic, the problem never appears and the mechanic can not diagnose a phantom problem.
BTW my last attempt at having some patience with you, I need all I can for my own children.

I know if I gave more info I could get better feedback and if I had more info I could probably figure out the problem, but it was sudden/short.
I actually did replace everything in the midst of all that "attacking."
I had a full tank of gas, I was rolling to a stop (I was hardly even on the brake), and it's been dry and hotter than hell here.

On a 92 my vote would be the EGR system, but I'm biased against it. There really is not enough info to diagnose it as it could be way too many things. I'd suggest forget about it unless it happens again. If it does try and duplicate it so you can narrow down the cause. Some easier things you could do would be pull your ignition module and get it tested at the parts store. And invest in a fuel pressure guage.

I would wait till it happens again if you don't see anything on a visual inspection, I would agree pos egr or I.A.C valve. BTW, RED DEVIL take it easy life is too short .
