Tips for installing valves and springs???
Ok so I have successfully removed the heads from my car and the valves and springs from the heads with little problems in about 6 hours. I was hopping all you gurus could give me some tips speaking from experience on what not to do and some other tips when reinstalling all the valve train. I been reading post about improperly installed valves and springs and that has scared me a little. What can go wrong? I followed the Haynes manual disassembly directions verbatim(maybe that was my first mistake). Thanks in advance and I sure hope all this porting and matching works.

Well I hope you have them all in order, otherwise you are going to have to do a valve job.
Other than that, just stick the valves back in where they were at, put some new seals on them, and install the springs. I put some break in lube (you can use oil too if you want) on the valve stems, and the valve tips. Oil on the new seals is a good idea.

Ya, I made sure to label all the hardware. So aslong as I do not nick the valve seats I can just put the heads back together and bolt the heads back on?

My question is, If your putting the Sam Valves and springs back In, Why Did you take it all apart in the first place ?
