Motor swap HELP PLEASE!!!
I have a 91 Camaro RS w/ a 305 TBI. I have a '75 350 4-bolt main block I am building w/ some Vortec heads & numerous other things. My question is that I originally have a passenger side oil dipstick and the 350 has a driver side one. I need a new oil pan anyway so I am wanting to know what year (and out of what) oil pan I need to put on it so that I can put a new dipstick in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is what I am talking about as long as it will clear the crossmember in a Camaro. It looked like it would hit...but it is just a picture.

From what i seen running that part number the dipstick is still on the drivers side. And the way it sounds you want to keep it on the pass side like factory. The driv side dipstick wont work with factory manifolds unless you want to squeeze it up against the block. Its does work like that but it makes it hard to get back in some times.Your other option would be getting headers as i take it the dipstick with clear the headers.I dont know of a custom pan that will plug the driv side dipstick hole and has a provision welded in the pass side for a the dipstick.

I have headers for it. I am not really looking for a custom pan, but just a pan with the provision for a driver side dipstick (to match my block) that will fit in the Camaro chassis.

Confuzed1? You said that that Summitt oil pan is the one you have in your car, and is yours driver side dipstick. If so what dipstick did you use?

My 355 is a 74 block, I got a new generic chrome dip stick and new generic chrome oil pan for a block with the driver's side dip stick off ebay for like $30.00 and it all fit.
The oil pan plug washer was crappy and I replaced it with a teflon washer I made frome some scrap at work. No leaks now.
There were no clearence issues and the oil pan was just a regular sbc oil pan for any chassis.
I did use headers too so I had no issues with manifold clearence.
EDIT:
Manifold clearence to dip stick that is.

The Summit pan I bought is no longer on the engine. I've since upgraded to a GMPP pan w/windage tray. If you were local, I'd sell ya mine for 20 bucks - it was only on the car for 6 months and looks pretty much new! Now it's just sitting in a box....

I know I can't change the dipstick side...not trying to. But I do appreciate all of ya'lls help. I will order one of those Summitt oil pans and use it. I was just wanting to know about clearance. Thanx.
