Small duration + high lift = ???
My cam right now is 230/236 @ .050, with .510/.520 lift. I'm putting on 1.6 rockers before I head up to the track, so it will be .540/.550 lift on that duration (maybe add 2-3 degrees because of the rollers). To me that seems like a lot of lift for those duration numbers. Do you agree? How does that affect the performance of the motor and how does it shift the power band?

Are those cams hard on valvetrain parts? I have a 230/236 .596 .571 114lsa going into my bird. Someone told me I was going to be breaking parts. Should I have to worry about this?

it's hard-er on parts then a tamer cam. You get more power, with less high duration drawbacks. Instead of the cam lasting 150,000miles, maybe 80,000....? It's not just the high lift/duration, but the high pressure springs that you need to keep the lifters on the cam, that wear it out sooner.

My cam is a solid roller. I use a stud girdle and have Comp 954 springs. The springs have 237 lbs on the seat and 537 open.

The springs I run are not as high as the post above but are around 140 on the seat and 414 open. I also have Trick Flow rods, Comp pro mag rockers, titanium locks /retainers, and surprisengly the stock but cleaned 88K mile roller lifters.
