Oil fill cap help

So, I just got home and went to do an oil change, try to take the cap off and nothing, so I thought okay maybe I need to wait for the car to cool down. So it's cooled down and I still can't get the darn thing off. It's tightened all the way and if I turn to the right it clicks telling me that's it well, tight. So I try to turn it the other way and nothing, it doesn't even budge. What should I do to get this off? Also I own a 89 iroc-z 5.7L

If its THAT tight, get some large channel locks and use them. There's NO WAY IN HE** it should be that tight. Have you every had it off???
