Accessory braces.
Hey guys. I looking for some info on the accessory braces for my engine. I have an 89 iroc 350 tpi. I’m in the process of doing a lot of work to the engine and trying to find missing parts that was taken off from the previous owner. I was looking in my dealer service manual and found a pic of the air pump. It shows that there is a brace that attaches to the back of the air pump and the other end bolts on the front exhaust manifold bolt. Does anyone know if there car has this brace on their engine. This thread is basically for anyone that has an unmolested all original engine with all the parts still on it. I also have a parts manual for the car and in the pic diagrams, it shows this brace in the pic but doesn’t give a part number. Also, does anybody’s 89 tpi car have the alternator brace that attaches to the alternator mounting bolt and then to the intake manifold, brace next to the thermostat housing on their engine from the factory. Just trying to find out what’s suppose to be on my engine and what’s not suppose to be on my engine when it was new.
