"Theoretically in street racing", how would this Dodge do against my stock 1986 IROC-Z? You think I'd have a chance?

HOLY CRAP! Unless your stock 86 can go 12.14....
I like the black smoke out of the big rig pipe personally, it adds that intimidation factor.
I have a friend with a Duramax GMC dually that will run high 13s, but that was incredible!

my friend has a 2500 dually with sequential turbos. At a "conservative" 60 Psi he put down 671 hp and 1811 ft/lbs of torque at 2700 rpm. Haven't seen it at the track, but it's a monster! You haven't lived until you've seen 5 inch up and down pipe!

That is really cool.
Nice thing about diesels is that you can boost them to the moon without fear of detonation- they basically run in detonation all the time anyway.

he he he, diesels are the best. they make so much power with little work. my dad has a cummins just like that, duallie, extended cab, 2wd, 3.55 gears and a posi. it goes good for a huge truck, with mods they fly. the cummins is actually more impressive then the power strokes. the power strokes have 1.4 liters on the cummins and in stock form the cummins still makes the same if not more torque! the hp is down a little bit tho. still impressive engine. !

I am also impressed with GM's Duramax and the Allison 5 speed auto. 300 hp with 520 lb ft stock and they don't blow up... read below!
I read today in Automotive News that Ford is having big problems with the new 6.0 liter Powerstroke. Apparently, there have been lots of seized motors, smoking motors, and hesitation. Ford has BOUGHT BACK 400+ trucks equipped with the 6 liter Powerstroke.
One problem is the hydraulically actuated fuel injectors. Some faulty ones have dumped so much fuel into the engine that the motors hydrolocked! The injectors are Siemens VDO and deliver 3000 psi of pressure! not sure how that works. the motor is built jointly with International Trucks.
Wouldn't you think this stuff would show up in testing? FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily)
