Beat two 5.0's

I've only had my new Firebird for a week and I've already took two mustangs 5.0's. Both of which challenged me first. I just got the car and didn't know what it could do verse them. I know the second stang was bone stock cause the guy followed me to the gas station to compliment my car and we talked for a lil bit. The night before I raced one and I'm not sure what he was, After I beet him I went to make a turn but came to a complete stop so I could give the curtious nod and wave (the nice wave, not the birdy). Instead he got close and guned his engine in an attempt to show off. I don't see why he bothered trying to act bad considering he just got roasted.
Oh well I ended beeting both with about the same lead. One and a half car lengths, over a blocks distance. I've just got the car a 5.7L and I didn't know how it would handle. I wanted to brag then, but since the second guy was curtious I didn't wanna be a *****. So I'm just braging here.

crying about what?
I went from driving a 2.8 that could have probably been beat by a go cart in it's last few weeks of running, to a car that has significantly more power. I'm proud of what this new car can do.
your criticizing proves nothing.
If anything your the one that needs to grow up and show some respect to others. If not for me, than for the moderators who's rules you are breaking when you insult others on the board.

Nice kills, just gotta watch with those 5.0s, they may look stock, or the owner may claim it just has exhaust, and it could embarass you. I know a lot of guys like that.

Just be safe and have fun!

The L98 is a huge step from a 2.8. Enjoy the power.

No they weren't. I just asked if he was 17. Then, instead of saying 'yes' or 'no,' he starts crying like, "What does age have to do with anything? [/whine]. No one said age has anything to do with what you posted. I was just curious. If I asked what you had done to your car, would you say, "What does that have to do with anything?" [/cry]

STU. I was not whining, crying, or whatever you want to say. I just took the question regarding my age, as an attempt to insult me. I took it this way because you were quick to label me something other than an adult, when a click on profile can show the age.

No offense, but when most of his posts are off topic and dont add anything to the good of the thread, i think people will stray away from this board, not hang around to read more of this bs, just my

I have never had an issue with him, he seems to post just as much knowledge if not more than many others. Sure not ever post is helpful, but noones is. He offers more in import knowledge than anyone else...

Well im not calling him ignorant when it comes to cars its just that other members, while not knowing as much as he does, seem to have the ability to present the info they do have in a respectful way thats all

well the first remark of age strikes one odd when replying to a kill story. LOL

Oh yeah, nice kills. Maybe that will help.
see? isnt that easy to say?

to the poster, nice runs. good to here what a 5.7 can do. been on the mustang boards and seems that alot dont think a thirdgen can be quick. they seem to forget what the good old L98 is capable of. get some headers/exhaust, and work that tranny up with a shift kit and about 2800 stall and be high 13's! LOL

He is, and he is another one that for all the other posts he has, he posts enough knowledge to then ask someone their age, or question a kill story!

I don't know Stu from ADAM and I'm not defending him in anyway but I have to be honest when I first read your post the first thing that popped in my head was that you were young.
Not trying to be insulting or anything but when I saw you spelled beet and beeting thats what I thought. I read a lot of different forums and kids that are 16 and 17 are the worst spellers.

I can see where my spelling could affect how old I appear. I've always sucked in English class.
As for stu, I missed understood what he was getting at. I thought he was trying to label me as immature. I'm on this site for knowledge not disputes. Having a slower car before I didn't go to this racing board. So I didn't understand his Persona. I have no hard feelings.

Good kills man. The potential in the Fox Body mustang is unreal. Full exhaust and bolt ons can be mid 13s real easy. Be careful though, ive run into a few with a basic s trim supercharger and they have absoluely blown (no pun intended) me away.

i love GM but they did some stupid ignorant ****!! why put 2.73 open rear in car that are somewhat stout and was originaly built to compete w/ the stang. buddy of mine's dad has a 86 5.0 5spd and when he got it it had long tubes chip and k&n intake. well they have since put in tremec 5spd new ceramic longtubes new true dual setup (fairly quiet until he mashes it!!) geardirve timing msd ignition fule pres regulator bumpy cam . im sure thats not it but he did get it painted theat ford metalic grey w/ 3in cowl and has wide drag radials and skinnys in front. they have estimated 350 400hp to rear wheels he can build almost anything be it ford chevy mopar 60-70's pontiac. he has a 03 ford f-350 v10 that would prop put most of us on this board to shame. just has 6in lift 37in tires banks headers and exhaust a chip shift kit and k&n intake. he still has plans for a sc i dont think my ta will come close to either one of his vehicles atleast not until my 383 is done

I dont claim to know much about hondas but can't you just put a turbo or supercharger on it to boost it?

350-400 rwhp??? Im going to call BS on that, seeing as a stock 86 bottem end would need the pistons notched big time for ANY heads and cam to run anywhere near that power. Now with some new internals (which for 400 rwhp would be a must) I could see it, but to list a fuel pressure regulator as a mod and not HEADS, I ball BS on that estimate. My guess with stock heads and bottem end, hes running 240 rwhp maybe!

Also if you can build one motor, chances are you can build most motors of similar designed, no matter GM, Ford or Mopar. The only times it becomes tricky is when we talk 2 stroke, 4 stroke, OHC motors, rotary's etc... but again, mechanically inclined people catch on fast and can build whatever they need!

Also what kind of mods on that V10, because shift kit, chip, exhaust and CAI on a V10 wont put a lifted truck near most of the cars on here, but if the truck was turbo, then theres a good chance it would...

Not trying to be mean, just pointing out a few facts I noticed on there!

Also, Im younger than most think, whether thats good or bad Im not sure, but I enjoy it!

Yes fox bodies can be made fast, so long as the owner knows what to do!

I think you can make any car fast. As long as the owner knows what to do....

Well they almost did make the thirdgen platform a FWD (which is true) And they are pretty heavy cars

well 25thmustang i dont know exactly what he has done to either the truck or 5.0 but the heads have been worked on the 5.0 not sure on everything done and its not the original motor he bought it with this motor but since then he has done many modifications to it. i also havent really gotten to talk to him in awhile or go and look/ride in it since he has done any of his mods. im unsure of rwhp output but if i recal right they had it dyno tested at either 300 or 350 but i am unsure. i understand your not trying to be mean but you have to understand im unsure of what all has been done to it. but i do know that this winter he is building a 351w for it that he plans on sc and bore and stroking it. and buillding 460 for his sons truck. "Also if you can build one motor, chances are you can build most motors" -25thmustang i to am a youngster
