I think you're toast.
You're probably capable of running mid-high 14's.
He may very well be a high 13-low 14 car. Maybe even quicker if he knows how to launch.
Edit: I just noticed your rear end ratio. You're definately toast.

Re: l98 vs wrx
Well considering those turbo wrxs put down around 300 from the factory i'd believe it, they are 2-3 seconds faster on the 0-60 and that awd launches them like a bat out of hell. I love our american v8's but those turbo boxter motors are QUICK stock, add a couple little things here n there and it will move. Plus they weigh less. if it was a n/a wrx you'd probably win.

Airpak good point, he said he has a stage 2? Is that a turbo? If so all I can say is I'd watch out for that car they can be real quick. Just always be safe and have fun no matter who wins.

Re: l98 vs wrx
Stock vs stock taht thing would win and since hes modded hes prolly easily into the 13s with thoses mods. hes AWD lighter and 5spd and dont forget turbo. Hes prolly pushing alot of boost to with thoses mods hes prolly eating stock sti's or barley beating. Take him from a roll if anything but i think once he hits boost hes gonna be out.

Re: l98 vs wrx
3.73's will really wake your car up, that is if your not concerned with the slight loss of mpg's. If so go with a 3.42, a nice median. You wont really notice anything with underdrive pulleys except for dim headlights at idle. Save some money and put a bigger cam in that car. If you can afford it or know someone who can do machine work, a nice gasket matching will benefit alot. Maybe open up the stock plenum more.
