8th Mile you're going to want to focus on torque. Not to many people can tell you "personal experience" on the stealth ram since its so back ordered, but logic being your guide I have a feeling the stealth ram is going to not be the direction you want to head. The Vortec/SD base combo is great for monster torque which also means great for street driven vehicles but by the time you buy the heads, base, and some aftermarket runners (slp, AS&M, TPiS etc) you're close if not passed the stealth ram. So then you got to balance your choices.

I'd say given what you want to hit, and dont care about 1/4mile times that the Vortec direction is the one you want to take, unless you can afford aftermarket heads, something in the order of AFR190's etc, in which case you can reuse your stock base siamesed (or edelbrock) for torque, this is how Mike Davis hit his impressive ET's

The hotcam is a great grind.

I think it could use a lil more lift

This is very interesting....I did this a couple years ago,and it made a big difference without siamesing my intake.

I dont know yet...

Currently I'm REfabricating SLP's Y-pipe since it seems to be about 1" 3/8th to long from collector to collector

Gotta love it when you spend the price on exhaust that you could buy a set of AFR heads with and it doesn't even fit

Anyways I'll hit you back with some times when it gets going, or put it in my sig.
