hello, i was doing some searching and found that the higher output lb9 was found in the '85 f-bodies. well, the old inspection sticker on the t/a says that its an '86 but the tach does not yello line until 5000 rpm, could this be possible?

the second thing is the throttle response, i believe that the engine revs slow as compared to my carbureted t/a and it also seems to wind up slower under a no load condition, but when its in gear, it does its job. would there be anything i can do to get a more lively revving engine? or should i adjust the throttle cable, thanks.

Adjusting the throttle cable wont improve the throttle response unless its just plain loose. I really doubt that it is.

The cam in 86's is the peanut cam. My 86 tach yellow lines at 5000 too, its not a good indicator to go by as to what the engine is capable of.

thanks, well i was doing some searching and i basically came up with changing the position of MAT? for better throttle response, but where is it located on th TPI?
